The Offering

A Gift from the Heart of Practice

This Troma Nagmo image arises from the Rinchen Trengwa Chöd — The Garland of Precious Jewels — a profound lineage of practice transmitted and taught by Tulku Pema Khandro, Ph.D.

The Rinchen Trengwa Chöd was the principal practice of the first Pema Khandro, an early twentieth-century yogini from Eastern Tibet. The current Pema Khandro was enthroned to carry forward the lineage of her predecessor, continuing this living stream of realization and practice.

Within this lineage, Troma Nagmo, the Black Wrathful Mother, embodies fearless compassion — the wisdom that cuts through ego-clinging and reveals our innate awakened nature. Practicing with this image offers a powerful support for meditation and mantra recitation, uniting visualization, devotion, and insight.

This depiction is not a generic thangka. It was painted by Pema Kunchen Wangmo — Volunteer Coordinator of the Buddhist Studies Institute and devoted Vajra Sangha member — while completing her second accumulation of the Troma mantra (200,000) under the guidance of Khandro-la (Tulku Pema Khandro). It stands as a rare and precious practice aid for students of this lineage, and as a unique, limited-edition work of sacred art for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
